Are you looking for ways to help your students explore health careers with a rural focus? Minnesota AHEC can help you make it happen. We specialize in creating rural health educational opportunities and curriculum that encourage students to consider exploring health careers.

Minnesota AHEC is dedicated to helping address the state’s growing educational achievement gap. Our regional Health Careers Specialists create and present customized, age-appropriate, hands-on activities for your class, school or career fair. We also have the resources to help you create and present your own educational activities.

The University of Minnesota Health Careers Center (HCC) is a central resource for the latest information on careers healthcare. The HCC provides profiles of different types of health careers, pre-requisite courses, admissions criteria and strategies on being a successful applicant to the University of Minnesota health professions schools.
The Health Careers Center offers an online course titled AHS 1102: Orientation to Health Careers. The course is available to high school Juniors and Seniors who have an interest in health careers. The course runs from September 2 to December 18, 2008. Post-secondary course credit is available after completing this 1 credit course.
