University of Minnesota Academic Health Center Schools and Colleges
Continuing Dental Education at the School of Dentistry provides timely and practical continuing dental education for dentists, dental hygienists, and dental assistants.
Continuing Medical Education at the Medical School serves the educational needs of lifelong students of medicine through seminars, workshops, satellite meetings, society meetings, labs, live cases, grand rounds series, online learning activities and individual instruction.
The Continuing Education Office works with the School of Nursing faculty to develop professional education programs that are based on faculty interests and expertise, teaching and research efforts of the centers of excellence, and partnerships with practice and health communities.
Continuing Pharmacy Education at the College of Pharmacy specializes in developing and delivering learning opportunities for practicing pharmacists.

Disaster in Franklin County is a free online public health simulation whre one can earn credits for continuing medical education. It is sponsored by the University of Minnesota School of Public Health's Center for Public Health Preparedness.
The Midwest Center for Life-Long-Learning in Public Health , in the University of Minnesota School of Public Health, sponsors a free online health modual titled "What is Public Health?". Comtinuing education credits are availabe for this course.
Preceptor Information
A Precepting Guide, developed by the National Health Service Corp Educational Program for Clinical and Community Issues in Primary Care, outlines the roles and responsibilities for health professions preceptors, students, and faculty in developing, conducting and evaluating a clinical experience in a community setting. The Expert Preceptor Interactive Curriculum (EPIC) is a faculty development curriculum in clinical teaching for community practitioners who serve as preceptors to health professions students.
The Rural Physician Associate Program (RPAP) provides information and resources for preceptors who participate in this University of Minnesota program.

Cross Cultural Health Care Program offers cultural competence trainings, interpreter trainings, research projects, community coalition building, and other services in an effort to improve access to culturally and linguistically appropriate health care.
Diversity Rx promotes language and cultural competence to improve the quality of health care for minority, immigrant, and ethnically diverse communities.
The National Center for Cultural Competence (NCCC) works to increase the capacity of health and mental health programs to design, implement, and evaluate culturally and linguistically competent service delivery systems.
Office of Minority Health develops health policies and programs to help improve the health of racial and ethnic populations and eliminate disparities.
