Dr. Robert Bruininks visited the Southern Minnesota AHEC host site, Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar, on Wednesday, October 10th, to hear about AHEC activities and view the progress of the Rice Regional Dental Clinic, scheduled to open on Dec. 3, 2007. While there he was introduced to the three Rural Physician Associate Program (RPAP) students (pictured) and the two clinical lab science students from the University, Jennifer Zeis and Katrina Erickson, who are currently training in Willmar. Dr. Bruininks was accompanied by Dr. Barbara Brandt, Minnesota AHEC Program Director, three members of the Board of Regents, and several other University faculty and administrators.

Minnesota Area Health Education Center (AHEC) is a Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Bureau of Health Professions cooperative agreement # 1U76-HP00599-01 funded through Title VII of the Public Health Service Act.
